Our Guesthouse is situated in the fine Historic Market Town of Penrith in Cumbria, at the heart of the unspoilt Eden Valley. Surrounded by mountains, lakes, castles and a wealth of History. The Guesthouse is easily located from Junction 40 if travelling North or Junction 41 if travelling South on the M6 Motorway and the trans-pennine A66 link road. Travelling by rail, you will find us just 10/15 minutes walk from the station, on the main Virgin West Coast line, or 5 minutes in a taxi.
This Luxury Bed and Breakfast on the North Eastern, fringes of the Lake District, is an ideal location from which to launch your tour of the Lakeland, Hadrian’s wall and the Borders. The guesthouse is actually on the famous Coast to Coast (C2C) route, so is an ideal resting place. Whether cycling or walking you will be sure of a warm welcome and secure storage for your bikes. We will also make every effort to dry wet outdoor clothing.

Our guests are welcomed with a smile and offered a hot or cold drink and a selection of homemade cakes. Made using Lake District recipes, handed down through many generations of our family.
Our extensive Breakfasts, Cream Tea, High Tea and Packed Lunch menus are prepared and cooked to order. We offer a Full English Breakfast with a range of original Elegant Alternatives. We also offer special options for Vegetarians, Vegan, Lactose & Gluten Intolerance.
